They were specifically designed as a deterrent against SUPs that keep snaking you.

They come up from behind and see the hole under the water at the rear.

They immediately think it's a rectal opening, crack a fat and fall off.

They work well for that

I've seen these a while back and when I asked WTF is that,the reply was,nose riding fin helps keep the tail locked in

I've seen one on a guys board one day at the beach on a mal,I said hey mate you should ride a sup.he said why?I said only a wanker would have fin like that

Had one a couple of years ago but sold it with a board a while back, I'm not great at surfing but have to admit I didn't notice any difference with it on?? I have a 10" Wingnut II on my ten footer and I can walk to the nose no problems, so I don't actully see the benefit of having that huge clunky thing on yer board...and it is really heavy!
