I have thought about getting one but I like to use my skateboard for a bit of cross training. Also those fitness balls are good as well.

I was thinking for standing in front of tele. Bit boring standing on my skate board

Just spent 5 days down at Albany hurtling down there skate track. That hill is great fun, problem was came home with two more skate boards. So know i need a skate board rack as well as the surfboard rack as with three of us skating we know have 7 skate boards as wellNo wonder my wife is getting p-ssed off..

yep - like doggie says - go skateboarding...

Just got myself a 40" Long Board skatey with drop through deck and soft bushings (rubbers) for carving. Even got my wife onto one as we are doing our first skiing trip in July and I figure this'll help with the snowboarding...

At a guess I'd say it'd be more fun than a balance board - and something the kids can play with too

I made my own version of a goofboard at home. If you have a look at their website (goofboard.com) you can get an idea of what it looks like and the dimensions.

Its a bit of fun and quite a good workout for your core strength. Definately improves your balance.

A balance board sounds like the same sort of exercise you get standing on a stand up.

I would say so, same as sitting or standing on an exercise ball.

Word of warning... For your first few attempt don't do it near anything glass or breakable, my mate had one for a while and they are deadly when your getting the hang of it..

They're was a YouTube clip somewhere of someone launching one through a window, I'll see if I can find it

^^^ yes also warn others

I have an Indo Board and it was the source of many injuries to visitors to our house (after a few drinks someone will think it's a great idea and end up with broken wrist, rib etc).

They are easier on carpet, then progress to floor boards. Grass is easy but a bit bumpy.
