After 2 months of no wind, the first cold front came in hard. 28 gusting 44 knots.

3.0. Was too big in the gusts. Had to flag it out and coast down wind.

Ain't that the truth. Speed slows down, jibes get sloppy. Half the time was "survival mode"

Great riding. Isn't it always the case that the first session after a long no wind spell is a ball breaker. It really tests the muscle memory.

You got that exactly right. Rusty to begin the session, pummeled by wind, hit a water pipe dredged up by the swell, and stung by a huge scorpion moving a rock. Sailed half the session without a pinky finger .
