I'd give that a 5/10. Rail dropped too hard into the water, board not turned far enough through the wind on the foil, not flat enough through the tack. We obviously can't foil tack bit If you get it right you can pretty much skim the board through the last 30% of the tack and come out pretty fast. Hard to do consistently though and much harder in chop.

Looks pretty nice to me. It's amazing how much speed he carries through the tack, even if with all the issues CJW points out. Thanks for posting. Will try harder next time on the water .

Couldn't upload, but have seen top racers foil past footswitch and lightly touch for a micro second before powering out up on foil. I'm sure they have fully foiled thru their best tacks, I can't see their every attempt.

I regularly sail with some of the (last year's) best racers in the world and I've never seen someone fly through a tack on racekit. Coming out of tacks fully planing sure, I do those aswell sometimes (with "some" being the keyword).

You can fly ducktacks on freeride kit though, balz has quite a lot of successful ones on video.

I suspect the "best" racers are NOT the ones going for full foiling tacks or jibes.
The "best" racers dial their gear, body, and mind nailing ALL the starts, roundings, windshifts, positioning, never blow any, and hardly ever fall.
2 different kinds of sailors.

Nico's would have looked great except it was beside a banger from Thomas. I was looking for something from them last night but didn't go back far enough. Thank you for digging deeper.

Thomas' tack is great, pretty much planed through. But he touches down at quite a large angle, and keeps carving further upwind while planing. Inspirational.

a bit hard to see but William's second tack looks pretty close to dry as is probably possible in this clip: www.facebook.com/william.huppertFRA330/videos/493910238070508
