Just bought a second hand Starboard Supercruiser. I'm heavy at 125kg.

With the front wing in the forward position the neck of the fuse looks awfully thin, and its drilled.

I'm keen to try it like that, but not if there are stories out there of fuselage failure.

So any bad stories , or is the quality of the alloy up to the challenge.

I have many hours on Supercruiser - didn't like the feel of putting the front wing forward, always have it back for carving performance, especially as I sail well powered (95kg)
Why bother putting it forward?? it does everything with it back, flies super early, manoeuvrable, massive upwind/downwind angles etc
But others report putting it forward works for them in light winds, which may mean less forces on fuselage ....

I preferred it forwards when combined with a board that has a more rearward fin box.
However I have heard of that fuselage cracking at the front of the mast cavity, only one example though.
