Hey, need so advice on a franken board.

(Lemons); I upgraded my SAB tuttle based gear to Code Foils and dabbled with winGfoiling with an cheap Gong HiPe inflatable. I am frustrated, not as fun as windfoiling/free riding.

So, I got a Slingshot JackPlate for my board, thinking I could bolt the Code Mast foil plate on to it....CAN'T...the foil mast holes do not line up on the plate.

(Lemonade)? The Gong HiPe was first Gen and old, so I cut the carbon mast base out of it with plans to "bolt it into the jack plate, giving me adjustable tracks. I can trim the carbon plate to fit.

My Franken board starts here. I got options, on the "track plate -to - mast track length'. I desire free riding with my 5.5m to 3.8m sails. Moderate to high wind days. The Code fuse overall length is about 30" from wing to tail.

I see lots of discussion on this from Balz'esque...33" to from UJ, to Wing..as well as ...nose mounted mast tracks ...42" UJ to wing...Logosz Alien Boards.

What are your thoughts? Could also lengthen the board tail by reverse mounting the carbon foil plate.

Here are some pics

Or, this and lengthen the board. I know others on this forum have done this

What is the right UJ mast track to Tuttle length?

THX!!!

Those older wizards had the mast track at least 200mm too far forward relative to the Tuttle base.

42" is an old idea and really only suited to course racing.

36-38" is a nice figure for overall riding but might be too long with a wingfoil fuselage.

If that were my board I'd just router out the bottom and flush mount the gong plate with some stringers.

THX , good insights.

Is the 36-38" from UJ to front bolt of tuttle? Given an adjustable mast track and adjustable foil mount track, that should provide alot of range.

Do you have a pic of the topside? What are the dimensions of your setup?

Color me intrigued

See top side pic.

I have options...
A; Original Position
B; Slightly forward foil
C; Aggressive forward foil
D; Longer than Original Position.

Regardless of the option, both the UJ/mast track and the carbon foil track, each have 10" of travel.

I just don't know how it will ride with a short fused WinGfoil kit.
