Hi,
Does mast carbon content actually matter, the cheap bit of all my kit is the stick. My kit is Levitator 160, freefoil 130 LXT, original blue glide foil, sails ezzy hydra 7.0, duotone f-type 5.8 and witchcraft slayer 4.7, which rigs on a unifibre cc 50% carbon mast, guy I bought that from who's part of witch craft team said that's fine. My other 2 sails go on a duotone black(50%). 430 rdm. Will higher carbon content mast improve the sails? I believe ezzy and duotone use very similar mast curve, and I did email David ezzy, about rigging on a duotone black mast.

When I bought my Ezzy masts I was on a budget, so for 460 & 490 I bought 91%, 370/400/430 I bought the 60%. The 430 is used for the 6.5m Lion 2 cam and 6m cheetah no cam. I dont think I am missing out on much performance, but I wouldnt mind trying one to compare.
For foiling, does the quicker reflex of a higher carbon mast matter so much, as the sail isnt getting bounced around over chop? Never thought about that before.

I have convinced myself that I do feel the difference between 60% and 90%, don't know much beyond that.

It does when on the fin. Much less so on the foil. Really only when you're trying to pump to get up on the foil.

I used to think it did not matter until I bought a 50% carbon mast. I had used 90 - 100% carbon up to that point. I could not detect a difference in sail performance, but I felt and disliked the extra weight of the rig in my hands
