In an effort to find something a bit stiffer mast wise compared to my pre Kraken sabfoil masts I picked up one of the 87W Aluminium phantasm masts. I kind of bypassed all phantasm cause I switched to sabfoil with all the COVID phantasm delays.

I really like the fuse to mast connection with the inserts. It looks like a big improvement for the primary weakness of hoverglide.

Yet to test it out but let's all pour one out for slingshot windfoil

Have been using the 87W aluminum for a couple of seasons originally bought it because I needed something shorter than my carbon 103 for a certain shallow lake that I often foil at. The funny thing is it seems a bit faster than my 103 and a friend also has one big guy 210lbs he has not bent or broken it like the couple of hoverglide he destroyed 👍

That’s funny I just ordered the 909 to run on my Phantasm fuse going to try with the 340 SS stab and see how it goes👍

909 is a great wing. I run 909 in any kind of swell, for flatwater freestyle stuff I find the 799 more forgiving

I have both a 103W aluminium (but down to 93) and 103W carbon. I agree the aluminium mast is faster and a bit safer in reef situations during lower tides. However I really appreciate how the carbon 103W gives that little bit of margin for error on big swell days.
