Does anyone have further experience on the ptm 930? There are wingers here now riding 900-1100 foils, and the guys on 900 size are really fast (not sure what brand wing but not phantasms). I can keep up with them on race gear but not the ptm 926. Getting to where I'm coming through my jibes a lot better on the 926 and it would be fun to try something a little faster on freeride.
There's a couple wingers that are jumping those things, one guy in particular was really cruising around 20kts the whole time and getting 2-3 body lengths out of the water on his jumps. I'm more timid but hoping to do more tricks on windfoil vs. wing.
Ptm 930 is a great foil and for me has replaced the 926 for light conditions. Definitely less stable in pitch and roll and drives more with the front foot, but super efficient with a great glide as well as much free-er in roll for a looser slashier feel where the 926 is really stable and takes more effort to initiate moves. Front foot pressure could be addressed by moving the foil, but I choose to shim the ps400 stabilizer to -2 degrees ( compared to stock -3 degrees)
Definitely need to keep the speed up because it is quite unstable and wallows around when slowed. Not really a problem since with such low drag it is easy to keep the throttle wide open.
My daily driver is the g800 and this makes a great complement for lighter conditions.
