When is the next Balz flight club? I can't find how to sign up for it.

The only question I have is do I need a carbon broom or is an aluminum broom sufficient (even though it's less stiff and heavier)? Or, should I go old school and use a teak broom?

Still no stones for loops, but I have been able to clear the foil a few times without breaking an ankle

I’ve seen him duck jibe plenty of times, but it was pretty gnarly out there that day.

Yeah apparently you can set it so that the flies a bit further away.

I have not been reaching for the UW 360 enough lately. I have been blessed with either lots of wind and waves or really calm conditions perfect for learning to foil scoot. You are definitely onto it; they are one and the same (UW 360 & Heli). Reaching for the full turn is what is required to learn how to turn fast enough and far enough off the wind.
I have made some gains with the Heli. I have been focusing on switching the feet at or just before the sail flip, and my smoothest touch-and-goes are when I do that. It creates the room for the sail to slide by and shortens the time it takes to get back onto the sail power.
I have been doing the visualization with the boom on land, and my mnemonic is Pull, Push, Switch & Flip.
I want to start playing with the sail flip into clew first like you are tallking about. That looks fun and useful.
I have been pretty jazzed with the foil scooter lately, and it has really cut into my light-air freestyle budget. I'm going to have the beginner board out this week to give a lesson, so I will sneak a little freestyle in then.
So that drone footage was autonomous? That's incredible!
