Wow... I thought the new toy at 1730 long was going to be a coffee table. Yours is inspirational!!
Lift off takes some work, but when in flight it just wants to stay there...

A really beautiful masterpiece!

Board looks epic
Almost feels wrong to call it a board more like beautiful artwork and that little carved out drawing near the left foot strap

Any idea on litreage? I bet it floats like a bigger board.
Weight?

I agree those straps could have gone foward, more plug option would have made it perfect. Would it be a lot work to add more?

150 lt volume or just under. With straps its around 15kg so still heavyish. We figured after the first couple of build attempts it needed additional ribs to prevent flexing of the deck underfoot. Patricularly due to my generous frame... So the matrix compartments within ribs and stringers are about 150 x 50mm. Im messing with trying to reduce weight and expanding matrix core with foam. Maybe for another thread. Azymuths inspiration with the shorter boards live on....

After a 5 foot board, hard to go to anything longer. It feels like flying.

I spotted this one year and a half ago. Hollow as well. I'm not sure how easy is to take off because the bottom is so flat. I think that day was its maiden voyage.

Yeah, you touch one of these super short boards and start thinking about winging.

Not this kid
Riding a149 cm board
Still haven't convinced myself to sacrifice a day to start winging.
I don't succumb to peer pressure very easy.

That board is a work of art.
I Can Only Imagine how many man-hours are into that.

Trying to figure out how small is too small

JJ, the workmanship is way better than the first POS you modified a couple of years back.
Looks like Les cement used on this one ??

That is one crazy board and some mad skills to get it going.
I built one last year and tried it a few times in stronger winds. The vid is from the first voyage, I got more comfortable on it but as always its a world of compromises. And IMHO if I can't up haul it easily and its too narrow to get leverage on the rail the trade off for a marginally livelier board is not worth the hassle. For me its about having fun and a little bigger board makes getting going, getting back, bouncing up off chop and recovering in between waves easier and easier = fun.
