How good and strong are the deep Tuttle boxes build into the windsurf boards?

What other board builders apart from Cobra are out there? Has anybody had any issues with breaking the Tuttle boxes on the boards?

The loads coming from the foils will be much greater compared to the standard single fins.

You don't want to loose the foil due to boxes breaking.

Feedback appreciated.

I am using a french brand of foil with the matching purpose made board.
The board is suppose to have a reinforced tuttle box.
After about 15 sails its still looks good.
I have hit 2 sandbars along the way.
This particular foil set floats, so a break out should not result in a loss of the foil.

I am using a Horue foil on my slalomboard.A board/Box can non resist the force created by a foil. You have to reinforce it.The board in pics is a Tiga 130 liter, 80 cm wide.http://bensens.dk/BLOG/maal-kun-for-foilnoerder/

After a year of windfoiling, I am now ordering a 100% foilboard. In my opinion, a slalomboard, will never be the right choise for foil, due to the rockerline.By the way, I hit at dolpin, and broke a wing. Dolpins are rare in Denmark.

Track mounts are adjustable.

Deep tuttle are not adjustable but are quicker to mount/dismount and seem to be stronger. The dismantled mast fits flatter in a bag.
