Hey Guys,
You should start sailing in the ocean. When Mike Rann puts the lock in up river it will really affect Boggy and Goolwa.
The mid coast is really good on a northerly wind. It is even better when there is swell.

We are now the same Susie, IMO sailing in the ocean requires a certain skill level, which we are now both at, ie very profficient at water starts and can turn around most of the time, Sailing in the sea gives you more bouyancy, although you have to wash ur gear :(
Footnote: The weir will never happen! Too bloody expensive
Yeah....... derrr
I'll sail almost ANYWHERE if there is WIND. I'm not that fussy, as long as I dont have to do the sailboard boogie. Sometimes theres no wind on the OCEAN but good wind on the lake - and boggy is often at least 5 knots stronger than goolwa. Hmmmm ....Salt water, yum, I can hardly remember the taste. just mud where I am

Do you reckon Goolwa will be sailable over the next couple weeks. I'm there for a week, two weeks after easter. Can't wait, but last time i sailed in about 30cm deep water around at the barrage, every time i stacked it realy hurt. Sounds like the smaller range of fins will be the go. No longer than 35cm? (there goes dads 50)
