Im regripping my boom and as I have taken the bolts out of the front end I've noticed they are very bent. Should I try to replace them and if so where can I buy them or will they be fine as they are? It's an Aeron carbon boom any advice is appreciated.
That's fairly normal John, I've seen the same thing every time I've taken a boom apart. Try putting them back as they are, but if they won't go gently straighten them. I've never had a bolt snap on me, just about every other part of a boom but not those bolts.
You can try Mark @ SurfSailAustralia. Hes got a pretty good list of parts to pick from.
Goya/211/Aeron are all the same.
I also have a 211 front end for sale off my busted carbon boom.
Good to see some maintenance going on John. I wouldn't bother straightening them but clean the threads and nuts and use a bit of locktite when you put it back together.
John, you can also get stainless cap/socket head bolts from Aus suppliers on EBay, just measure up your bolt. That's what I do for my fin bolts and I can use the batten tensioning key to do them up

They are not the same. Same mfg but the Aeron is a bit different - longer bolts. I am pretty sure they are not standard socket head cap screws like the Goya either. I think they are a sex bolt with internal threads on the end. Probably need to get them from the shop.
Give Chris a call at www.windsurfsystems.com.au. He is a distributor for Aeron and carries all the spare parts...
