Are there any companies or such that will do one off CAD board shaping? Any idea of the cost? Thanks

Are you talking digitising a shape into software or getting a foam blank cut?

Yes, of course you are right. I'm the CAD half and I need a CAM half. I'll try shapers.com. Thanks
P.S. It was for shaping blanks......

hi jethrow,
that makes two of us cady's...
i have been looking into it recently as well. In the back of my mind i thought there was a guy on the sunshine coast that could do it but i won't be able to find out until the end of Oct when a mate gets back from overseas. I will let you know if i find out anymore.
can i ask what software you are using. i was going to use 3dmax for the model but not sure if there is something better out there? current 2d design was drawn in autocad.

G'day Gestalt
I do all my stuff with Multisurf 3D. It seems to work the same way as my brain so I find it most intuitive. I just need to find what output our friendly CNC people need. I've dealt with a guy across the road with a flat bed router for templates and stuff (mainly frames and sections for racing dinghies) but have never had any 3D stuff done. There was a guy on the Central coast NSW who could do centerboards and rudders but can't do bigger stuff.
