Isn't is shameful that Allison Shreeve isn't funded sufficiently to compete in the 2010 Formula World Championships? She is a four time world champion! What more do you have to do?

The following passage was taken from her website's news page:

Allison Misses 2010 Formula World Championships
Sunday, 21 Mar, 2010

ALLISON SHREEVE WILL NOT CONTEST THE FORMULA WINDSURFING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN 2010.

For the first time in six years Allison Shreeve will not be able to contest the Formula Windsurfing World Championships. The four time World Champion reports “Sadly, the logistics of getting to the venue at Lake Potrerillos, Mendoza, Argentina and the funding required to compete at this location is beyond my capability.”

By the way Allison, if you're not using your sail number (and I really hope you will get to go to the Worlds this year and win), can I borrow it - I was born on the actual "911" (11 Sept 2001) and I also actually own a few 911 Porsches (OK they are only matchbox ones), do you have a Porsche 911?

Yes it is sad Alex - i just had a look at formulawindsurfing.org to see results from day one and was dissapointed to see Allison not there.... the competitior list is very small and it appears the event site is pretty remote.

Allison should ask ka for help, cause I heard she rides for them now. I am sure they would love to help her out, as she is the fastest chick in formula in australia, if not the world. She can even beet most guys in formula windsurfing. She should be competing in the event it's sad
