As everyone has lots of ideas for cameras and all the mast mounts I have found on the net look crappy, has anyone got any good ideas for how to mount a camera in a water proof housing to the top of a mast. I don't want to have to extend the mast out the top of the sail as my wave sails have fixed heads. I'm thinking some sort of clamp arrangement.
One idea I do have for mounting a camera out in front at boom height is to use an old boom clamp with a piece of old boom pointing forward with a camera mount bolted/welded to the end.

Tim,
I'm with you on the mast top mount. I am working on using a skinny mast adapter to shove on the top of the mast (the rubber is easy on the sail, and the shape of the adapter gives it some natural grip) and attach a small clamp (which I have not yet found) on top of that. Then thread a screw through the skinny adapter.
