Question: What is the Difference between: "True Stateman" and "Typical Politician" ?

Short Answer:
"Typical Politician" only cares how he/she "Starts" while "True Stateman" only cares about how he/she "Finishes"

Long Answer:
"Typical Politician" only cares about how to get elected and "win popularity vote", make the best "first impression" and does not care, neither about People nor the Country. It is about "Money, Power, Ego & Selfishness" about himself/herself. Puts on "Shiny Pageantry Armor".
"True Stateman" is like a General that "dines, sleeps & fights along his troops". He cares about his Troops. He does not care if he gets dirty in the battle. "His Armor" is all about Function, Usefulness and the Efficiency.
For him/or her, "the Books is not judged by its cover BUT by its Content".
He or She Cares about People and "the Long Term Effect", some day Accomplished Legacy down the road.

That is the difference between "Sight" and "Vision". Sight allows you to see things how they currently are while Vision allows you to see things far ahead into the Future.

Who do you want to be ?
A "True Stateman" or "Typical Politician" ?
If you Decide that you rather want to be: A "True Stateman" then first IMHO, look in the mirror and think of how can you Contribute to the Society.
How can you write "Quality Articles" in whatever "Mainstream Topic" or "Side Stream Topic".
Please note that there are "different strokes for different folks" therefore the best approach is to "present the tools" that can be for "anyone's Toolbox" as an Option.

2) "Old Sea Dogs" will only "lift the curtain" behind which "Person who want to Rise up by Discrediting others". is hiding - there is no need for other response to Personal Attacks.
3) "Old Sea Dogs" will only "filter the noise", provide facts, pictures & graphs.

It is all about "Bigger Picture" and "Birds eye view". And I am not talking about the chicken pecking and making noise on the ground "Birds eye view".
I am talking about an Eagle "Birds eye view".

Two years later, in the year 1980 I had a Privilege to be one of the contestants.
Well, it was not about Winning for me, it was about Participation. Back then, I did not have enough TOW at the age of 10 though I have already sailed a lot with my older than me sister (8 years older) who was a recreational sailor and a windsurfer too therefore I had a very early "head start" in both Yacht Sailing and Windsurfing.
In the year 1980 the "Optimist Silver Sail" Championship was actually an International Championship with representatives from other Countries.

Next is me: Marek Skoczylas then Krzysztof Plochec & Hubert Tyczynski all representing City of Lublin Poland and "RKS Motor" Club "Sailboat Racing Division",

Question:
What is the most Efficient way to Uphaul the sail ?
Everybody knows. Use your legs.
But, what is an "additional trick" when you are 10 or less years young and it is 6.0m sail?
Answer: You do not pull only upwards like an adult would do. You pull to the side. You use the board itself as "a ramp" "or wedge" by boom sliding over the deck, clearing the sail from water. Then in the last phase you lift up the sail when it is easy.

Here is also how I have done it that way in 1980 (43 years ago).



When you cross the middle age barrier, 50+ then there is another trick to conserve the energy and last 6-8h sessions at a time with 11-12m sails windsurfing/windfoiling (only if you want to) - do not fall into the water.
I have many 6-8h sessions when I do not fall even a single time. It is not about Heroism, being Macho or Extreme Fitness etc.
It is all about selecting the right gear for the conditions (e.g. if gusty - race foil that accelerates fast and does not create "the elevator effect" in wide range of wind) and about tunning it and balancing it to the max Efficiency.

Time for Fun Question:
Year 1980 (again 43 years ago).
Am I still "Wind Surfing" while using windsurf board while being towed behind a Sailboat ?



BTW This is on the Biggest Inland Lake in Poland. Jezioro Sniardwy or "Sniardwy Lake".
The lake is so big that curvature of the Earth does not allow to see even the forest on the other shore.
Therefore, Maybe it should be called mini "Inland Sea".
Sure, smaller than Great Lakes of the America, but still big enough.

When I was talking about "Birds Eye View" I was too narrowminded.
I only thought about "Birds Eye View" of an Eagle (high) and a Chicken (ground) and I absolutely forgot that there is one more "Birds Eye View", the one of an Ostrich (or Emu or Cassowary).
Human myth is that when it gets scared of something it can not understand it hides its head even more in the darkness - in the ground.

But it looks like "birds brains" are much smarter, they never do that.

1) You can judge nutritional value of food and correlate it insulin response / spike in your blood. The higher the spike the healthier the food. Yes, Mr. Kellog has done outstanding job. People were Verry Happy and Energetic - Immediately.

2) when a farmer plants his crops and looks next day that nothing yet sprouted then concluded "I wasted my time". I should have eaten the grain myself. What a waste of time and effort.
