Who else out there has had extra charges charged to their card, for supposedly incorrect dimensions, yet you would swear that you measured the box correctly?
I've had terrible results with Ego (hunter express). It relates to extra dimension charge they charge your card with after the initial booking charge.
It's typically $10-15 on a $100 sail box. You think not worth worrying about and let is side, yet you were sure you measured the dimensions correctly.
THEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN - only this time you took photos of the dimensions, allowed an extra 1cm and where present when they picked them up.
There were 3 sail boxes, all the same height and width, just the length was different. One box went through ok, one was out by 0.5cm and the other by 3cm! (Width)
I complained. Provided photos – I even got the receiver to take measurements and photos, to verify the measurements
Got the generic letter back, stating that that two of the boxes were out of specifications and that’s why you were charged extra
I provided photos of measurements before and after delivery, but no response.
YOU HAVE NO COME BACK ON THEM. They don’t want to know you and you have no way of holding them accountable.
Who knows would happen if there was a damage issue – even with insurance.
I no longer use them, I go to my local courier and get them to measure the box.
A year ago I had someone take a charge off my credit card a month after I sent something with them.
I suspected staff fraud , reported it to the bank, and got it taken off my credit card. Maybe if it had happened within a few days I would have paid it.
