There's a product found in the States called J.B. Weld which fills that sort of damage to fins well. The only drawback to it would be that it has some metal filings in it which can rust to a rough finish. However, a light sanding from time to time eliminates it. You don't have to be an expert chemist like Nebbian, too, to use it. It's simpler and easier to use than Epoxy, doesn't crack or chip and holds it's bond terrifically. It can be applied in any temperature, too.

Nice troll Brucie. Or should I call you Sinbad?

I've got a cryptic clue for you:

Ali backs end of lawyer in ply, without reasonable doubt.

And just in case you're wondering if we've got electricity and running water, we've got J.B. weld in every hardware shop here as well. It's not what any sane person would use for a fin though.

I don't know if I'd let folks know you have electricity and running water. Here in Montana, we prefer to advertise our faults, hopefully to keep out the riff raff.

You don't want us Yanks flooding your shores when the Bushies fly the Cheney/Bush campaign, do you?

Our repair product of choice is baling twine!

Yeah JB weld is OK but it is an epoxy filler with metal and designed for non marine applications. It will work well, but if you can you shoudl buy Knead It or similar. Same stuff but the filler is not metal.

BTW americans are welcome here

So over here (you know, in the USA), they advertise "your" beer as Fosters. I've heard that in Australia, it is actually like Budweiser (crap). Is that true?

And do any of you eat vegamite? I tried it ONCE.

yep, eat vegemite every day. love the stuff. i was raised on it my parents were raised on it and now my kids are raised on it. even when travelling the world for a few years i made sure i never ran out. found it was good value when trading with other aussies in backpacker through europe.

fosters is considered crap here. no one drinks it. corona is very popular. i think you guys call that skunk juice?
i don't even know if fosters is still brewed in australia?

prob with US beer is that it just isn't strong enough. can drink the stuff all day and not get drunk.

Vegamite tastes fantastic! I had some for breakfast this morning.

However, a mistake many foreigners make is to put it on incorrectly. Some people say to only put a thin spread over your toast. This is wrong, and doesn't let you appreciate the full flavour of this wonderful beer extract (Yes you read that right, it's made from BEER).

For your first taste of vegamite, you want to put a little margarine on the toast, and then slop on the vegamite like you would peanut butter. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

Agree with Vegemite in gravy, I always keep the empty jar, then when making casserole you put half cup boiling water in the jar to dissolve the residue and use it in the casserole.

BUT best use for vegemite: cheese Twistys dipped in it as you eat them.

Hey BTW Laura have you head why Budweiser is like having sex in a canoe? Both are f^&king close to water.........
