Wow - had my first session today windsurfing again after 5 years. Appreciate what I was missing even more now. The wind was up and down 5 -16 at Lucky bay and only managed to get in the back footstraps once, though did get planing a few times. Am absolutely stoked with the ST93 and Loft 5.9 - gee the modern small boards are easier to manage when the wind drops out. Only went in once when hooked in and the wind dropped too quick and I couldn't unhook -did manage to waterstart and the ST feels very fast when it was powered up, though probably doesn't glide as well when it drops out as the newer Futura. A lot of adjustments to kit today - hopefully be able to contribute some worthwhile numbers to the Pinna's in the speedsailing after a few more sessions getting used to the kit and getting myself (skills etc) back into some shape.

Cheers

Tony

You wont need much to get to make us two look shabby Went Pinnaroo this afternoon, (actually went Hillary's and tried that). Ended up down at Pinnaroo,,,, eventually Thank goodness PC's wife showed up, otherwise a walk back to get cars for one of us
Found that there is a bloody wind shadow right off the point at Pinnaroo
mega weed still, and suffered not fitting the weed fin to kick off.

Hi Mike, yeah I was worried I may be drifitng/swimming at one point when the wind was dropping badly. Still a way to go for me to catch up to both of you in the numbers, and still to get comfortable with the new kit gybing etc but will get out after work this week atleast once (Tues/Wed/Thur looking promising). Hey, bring on the seabreezes and with the DLS we should be able to build on the number of sessions in November.

Cheers

Tony - stoked to get on the water today and not be so uncomfortable after so long out of it.

Hi Hardie,
We had young kids (a bit older now) and time was a big issue with further studies and then worked away for awhile. Kids older and now can get away for an hour or so quite often. Sailed most of my life but only windsurfing has ever given me that complete freedom feeling - such a blast. Have been missing that for so long. Great to be back inot it - have a few friends from long ago in the same boat - hopefully they may find the time to do likewise.

Cheers

Tony
