Freight Costs?

Does anyone know roughly the cost to freight a sail from Sydney/Newcastle to Melbourne? Thanks

peteW, log onto greyhound bus freight, there is a calculator to work up a budget price.

From memory, no more than about $25 should get you over the line, unless its a "real large sail", then the cost goes up

Mineral, when I called Bus frieght in QLD, they said they had a length limit of 2 metres, have you found the same down south

Have just sent a mast and sail from SYD to BNE by busfreight.
I taped the sail to the mast as one package, total cost was $38 delivered to the guys door. They will accept packages greater than 2m in length despite what the website says.
One important thing to remember is that most stuff gets calculated by volumetric weight (length * height * width * 250) so pack it down as small as possible, and when the guy measures it make sure he is on the lower side as a few centimetres here and there can put you into the next weight category.

Haggar, yep 2m is the guideline,however a warm ask usually gets the bit "extra" if need be. But yep it is 2m all around.
