First question even though I know you are all wave sailors!!
Has anyone got a 2007 JP Freestyle board? What do you think? I am thinking about investing in a 2007 JP Freestyle 100 Pro edition...

My second question is an overall quiver question? I currently have a 93lt Supercross (suits nothing I want to do but planes early) and a 79lt Competition Wave (great board for light wind waves and high wind. I want to upgrade:
My thought was get the 100lt as a freestyle and lightwind board.
Later buy a 69lt wave and a 88lt freestyle wave and sell my 94lt?
What do those more experienced think? My current most used board is my 94lt!! But I can't use it for freestyle

Speak to Junior Freeride, he had a 07 JP b4 we took him on board as sponsored rider. If you need his contact PM me. He loved it until he tried the Tabou.

I weigh 68kg. Sorry I was in a major hurry this AM. I have narrowed it down to either the 93lt freestyle wave or the 100lt freestyle both 2007 or waiting till next year 2 get a 2008 board. I am open to other brands the reason I look at the JP's is because I can only get them and a few naish boards here. I would have to get everything else either from AUS (i'm in NZ) or South Africa in December.

What would you guys recommend for a maily flat water sailor who loves the waves but can only get to them 5 to 6 times a year.

The only board I want to keep is the 79lt that i love. Everything else can be gotten rid of. My sails are 7.3 north (not used much) 6.2 boxer, 5.3 session, 4.7 ezzy wave SE, end of year a 4.2.
So I guess my question is for wave and freestyle how would you build your quiver around the 79lt, remmembering I use 90+ ltrs most???

Any advice is much appreciated and sorry bout all the reading.....

Hey Lanky!

I've got a 100L JP Freestyle an 85L JP Freestyle Wave and a 74L JP Radical Wave. If you keep your Naish Competition wave which is a DTL wave board then the perfect board combination to go with that would be the 85 FSW and 100L Freestyle. At 68kg you'll get a lot of use out of the 85 freestyle wave with your 5.3, 4.7 and 4.2 - it is an awesome board for jumping and freestyle and will be good for light days in the surf. the 100L freestyle will get you going in bugger all wind with the 6.2 so you'll be able to get rid of the 7.2. A good alternative though if you don't want 3 boards would be to get the 91L JP Freestyle Pro. If you're thinking of doing soem freestyle then you will not regret getting the JP - they are really sick boards!!!

I think I want to try keep the 79lt as a light wind wave board.

I have been thinking and I am leaning towards this quiver:

100lt freestyle pro edition JP

88lt Starboard Flare 2007 or JP 85lt freestyle wave if I can find 1 second hand

79lt Naish comp wave

and lastly maby next year a 69lt Carbon Art, JP radical wave or Naish Pro Wave 1111 (will only really be used when I travel to the waves or 1-3 times a year at home)

What does everyone think of this combo for a place that only gets plus 20knts 50-100 times a year (probably underestimated but thats what it feels like)

BTW - I'm selling an '06 85L JP Freestyle wave in excellent condition for $1490

Got a friend flying to NZ in a couple of weeks too!

I wish but I can only buy that if I can sell my 94 supercross for $1000 which I really doubt!!! So will very saddly have to pass on that. If you are ever desperate to sell cheap I'm your man....

Even if I were to sell everything I could not afford 2 new evo's. LOL. If I could sell all and buy all new my quiver would be:
100lt freestyle pro
85lt freestlye wave pro
76lt Carbon Art
68lt Carbon Art
All 2008
but I will never have that kind of cash.....
