Considering going up to see the wave classic this weekend (18th). Does anyone know if anything is going to be visible from the beach or is a boat necessary for this?

The break is about twice as far from the beach as mainbreak in Lancelin ie you will see very little from the beach. There is a headland directly downwind of the break which is a bit closer. From there you may be able to see a little bit although I have not been on the headland when there were people sailing.
