I'm a rad windsurfer/kite/surf.. but my skills is basic stuff not advance.
I'm Thai living in Thailand which the winds and waves are quite sux compared to Australia.

Anyway my auntie is living in Brisbane and I might travel to australia a bit when i saved some money, I was wondering is there any good spot(s) of nice wind and waves not so far from Brisbane or Gold coast, but my dream is to wave windsurfing/do a foward loop in place like Ho'okipa and I guess Places in WA is as good but with sharks but would'nt be much problems i won't surfing there with short boards, feels safer with windsurf/kite-surf style
Is there places like Ho'okipa/margaret river in Queensland?
I am expecting big from Australia, but fear of yours shark and AUD

don't worry about sharks. your 15 times more likely to be killed by a falling coconut then a shark. (stay away from coconut trees........they are evil). and your 30 times more likely to be struck by lightning then even being attacked by a shark.
just a few fun facts :)

Or worse you could get killed by a falling shark which is 20 times more likely than a falling coconut

There are heaps coconuts where I sail, but more likely to hit a turtle then be struck by a nut...

The only problem I suspect with those stats are that they are just based on world wide populations. If you take into account the number of people in the shark infested areas on any one day, then your odds on being attacked are that much higher. But then I guess the same could be said for those walking under a palm tree.confusing. could make for a great government paid research project. sit on a palm fringe beach recording nut falls compared to your bait being taken. probably best just to start on islands that have pumping surf as a first random sample
