Hi, After not sailing for around 12 years i've decided to get back into it. I've picked up a Starboard controller 292 which i estimate to be around 10 years old. I wanted something older which I can bash around for a while and be sure that i want to stick with it before upgrading.

I was hoping somebody may be able to help me out with a few questions? Does anyone know what the volume of a Starboard controller 292 is? Will it perform OK with the later design sails? I used to sail a Tyronsea 295 which i handled well and was just starting to learn to gybe when i gave the sport away. i could water start OK. The board appears to have a reasonable amount of volume and at 80kgs I'm pretty sure I'll be able to uphaul if needed.

ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
Chris
