Any suggestions on good ways to send a board from NSW to QLD?

What is the likely cost and what companies are good to deal with?

I got a board shipped from WA to the ACT and it cost me about $80 from memory, that was with Toll. They were pretty slow but it got there in the end. I think the fast companies like AusAirExpress ans Startrack don't ship goods that large, usually. QLD to NSW isn't nearly that far though :)

Make sure you pack it up well, big block of polystyrene over the nose and tail and plenty of bubble wrap in between.

Go to your local bus depot and get a quote from them. They take it to a depot in QLD and then gets picked up at the other end.

Sometimes they say the board is to long when you bring it in, but a mate of mine just wrapped it up and wrote surfboard all over it and when they said they didn't want to take it, he just told them they had to because thats what they first quoted.

Think it ended up costing him 60 to 80 in the end. Not so sure how long it would take but it's prity cheap compared to other options.

When I moved to WA I shipped my boards using the following:

[1] Wrap heavily with buble wrap
[2] Place board in Board Bag
[3] Cover Board Bag in Cardboard. (Go to your local Harvey Norman or similar and go through their bins, you will find heaps of good quality cardboard. For the nose use smaller pieces and create added reinforcing.
