My favourite board is looking sad.
I just noticed the crack and line across the tail. It's a bit soft around the line but the underside looks ok.
I'm thinking about getting someone to fix it as I don't think I'll be able to get another one.

Anything is fixable. Just cost vs benefit huh.
that’s a big one so def don’t use it. And do get it fixed by someone who can vacuum bag and do it right, it’s very stressed there so a bog line and glass over will just break adjacent to the new work.

Just been talking to someone who does repairs. He's got a Carbon Art I can try. If I don't like that I can get a durable but ugly repair done..

What the unintentional ones? 😜
I hit a log ages ago but bounced over and kept going..I didn't notice any damage except the fin was really tightly wedged in the box..maybe it started there and has got worse..🙄

Vent plug failure ?. Sue, get a tissue wick and see if there is water in your vent plug hole.

That would be it. Visualise the fin lifting tail up violently and board held down hard with mast mast pressure / planing force upwards on the midsection.

I figured if there is water getting in, a lot of water, it may cause this failure ?

I've always suspected Sue to be a cheese roll queen. She does not advertise that fact, because she does not want to hurt our feelings. But this is proof now 🤣
