Mark_australia, you are now attacking an asian factory that makes every board known to man (windsurfing) and in my experience every autopsy of damaged cobra stuff reveals that the 2oz cloth goes opaque around the damaged area.
sail hard, jump high the board will be replaced, if your local dealer is on the ball or you are not a perpetual board bvggererer, game out.

Yes, when you fracture glass laminated with a clear resin it looks like an opaque area. However I'm talking about glass which is clearly not properly wet out.... which does look different. Further, you can feel it.... it is a different kinda floppy is the best way I can describe it.
