First time using my little Veho Muvi camera on a windsurfer. Pretty happy with the result but it did cut out a few times after my wipe outs!

It worked well on this tack with the sun on my face, probably wouldn't be so good looking forward into the sun.
Next time I'm going to try to attach a carbon pole to the back of the boom to get a wider perspective. The camera position shouldn't interfere with my gybe too much then.

Is that a Muvi Atom, or one of the other models?

Also, which mounting did you use? I've got one, but haven't gotten around to mounting it yet.

Great vid.
Another good angle is on the end of the boom.
Tried this angle a few years ago with my cheap GoPro so not in HD.

Its the Veho Muvi NPNG (no Proof no glory). its the Go Pro Black edition competitor but is about $100 less to buy.

I just used the handle bar clamp bought off amazon. Pretty sturdy. I also use it when ocean sailing by mounting it to the pulpit/pushpit.

Greenroom next time I'll try the end of boom position. Also looking at using a small diameter carbon pole to extend the camera aft, but ideally it should have a curve so you can't see the pole.

I like the vids that show feet controlling the board as it jumps over the chop.
With all the jumps on that vid up top it would have looked really good.

I think the cameras must have been mounted out the back somehow, maybe on the back of the boom pointing down a bit.
There was one on here last summer which showed it really well.
It had a great music track too.
Do one of them and I will give it a green thumb.

Yeah I agree. Of the 15 or so runs I filmed I chose this one because you could see the footwork a bit. A happy accident that I will try to do properly next time - i desperately need the thumbs up!
