Just had my second worst NYE ever, consisting of a bbq at the local windsurfing club,
followed by a drink at the poncy expat windsurfing/sailing club further down the beach where they counted down to frigging midnight,
and I had decided it was a total nightmare well before embarking on the journey home on public transport, which only made it (slightly) worse...
I know this isn't my personal blog where I can vent all my feelings, but

Nebs, offer appreciated but I'm not setting foot on Aussie soil til I've got my licence; last time was ridiculous! It's all very well when you live in a small, convenient place with great public transport...which describes everywhere I've lived for the last 15 years or so...

Yes and no; the problem would be the time it would take! Better to just get it while I'm here. Just got to confirm that it can be transferred once I'm in Aust.
