Hey
Does anybody know much about this board. I am a learner to windsurfing and was wondering what this board is like for flat water blasting on Lake Maquarie. Also what type of rider would be needed to saili one. Plus just any thoughts on this board.
Cheers

Hi there,

I had the JP Xcite 110 last year. Its a great board and gybes really well. I thought it handled the chop in Botany bay rather well. Even on those big southerly days. Its definitely going to suit a light weight, progressing, intermediate level rider. If you are heavy then it might be a bit too small as an intermediate board.

I weigh 65kgs and it suited me quite well. Had plenty of float and stability as I was getting up to speed.

I've got a 165lt xcite ride...great first board for me - 100kgs (+GST!!!)

Blew the dust off it (6 months worth) last week, and remembered how much I enjoy riding it. After an 'offshore' session on Monday, nailed a few gybes easily (been struggling lately).

LethalAsh, I admittedly don't know alot about other boards in the range, but the xcite is a great board for learning on, flat-water (speed), and playing in the chop.

Hi Ash,

I'm up at Valentine for a racing event next weekend and our demo 110 will be up there if you want to come and try it.

As for the performance of the board although I'm a little biased as I sell them I doubt you could find a friendlier allround board. Doesn't need a hotshot to sail it as it planes easy, has good speed and turns on a dime.

Give me a shout at the shop on 9971 0999 if you want to try it out.

Sam.
