what sort of board, how long is it?
what sort of wave you on - like is it 3 foot on 1 foot deep sucking off the bottom?
I have no complaints on nose diving using an evo except in really shallow water small waves, the board in your pic looks a bit more like a pintail, gun sort of shape?
Like in surfboards I like the double concaves, and bit of width under the feet of the modern wave boards. too much v without the double concaves sucks imo.

comrade kremlin
well I think I did an underwater loop, as board and I was going straight down the mine, breaking wave on rig completed the rotation for me.

As Comrade Mark is saying, this can be common issue when trying of the 'new' modern style board after years of using more traditional shapes yar ?
It is very rare to be able to jumping straight off one style of board onto a new with no adjustment of style or how you ride it. The newer style of board allowing a lot more back foot pressure when sailing (when going off the top on waves) Maybe you trying of this.
Not be too concerned you have made board wrong, must be having more time in water to dial into feel of new board.

Now that's what I wanted to hear somebody say!!!!!
All I need is more waves with some wind!!!!

From what Mark has been saying about modern board rockers, I certainly haven't made it too flat.

Sorry Poida, for some reason I missed this post.
237 long 59 wide, so it's nothing like a gun, back is much too wide for that.

about head high, nowhere near a barrel but reasonably vertical and I hit the lip going straight up as it was throwing out, bounced/turned off it and came straight back down again. Can do this OK on my 8' 4" old style high wind board, the nose rocker just copes with the vertical dive.

Not sure if I'm being complemented or ridiculed here, perhaps I should throw a spell and find out.

Hasn't stopped me yet!!!

Could go into the metaphysics of why, but it's not appropriate for this forum.

Today my wife told me she really loves this board, why don't I build another one with more nose kick?
If I do, the question is do I make it the same size, 59cm wide (suits 12 to 20kn 25kn not too bad) or go a bit narrower, about 55/56cm maybe good from 15 to 25kn 30kn possible?
Lovely woman doesn't enjoy subplaning or waves so I can pinch this one back for the really light days.
