For some reason they want to start ferry routes in the bay which will include shops and carparks etc. I think its a bad idea. Make the waterway busy and less natural.

What are your thoughts?

Wow, I wonder what the real benefit of this is?

I suspect the people that live there won't get much benefit from it.

I wonder if it will be like the carpark where they 'fixed it' and at least in my opinion, its worse than when it was just dirt. Prettier, but less usable, with the parking for boats given priority over people that just want to sit in their cars and watch the ocean.

Rockdale council were pushing for a marina over the other side, but a ferry service?

Won't affect Kurnell kites and windsurfers, but will have a bad effect at La Perouse.
Personally, I think it's a stupid idea. Marginally less stupid than putting in a cruise ship terminal at La Perouse. That one will get revived if Covid gets controlled.
Should be privately funded if it goes ahead. How big is the market for riding a ferry over to the nice enough park at Kurnell for a picnic? There's not much else to do there.

Reading another article, it makes me wonder if the councilors at Rockdale are keen on it so that it can turn their area into a tourist hot spot. Who needs it though as the area is already plenty busy. I guess if you wanted your own private boat mooring and be able to sip coffee while looking out at it, you would want something better? It seems like a nice are as it is.
