Has anyone looked at the Perth wind forecast for the next few days? If there is a god he must HATE windsurfers who have to work for a living.
I mean, come on, thats just bloody ridiculous and cruel.

Anyway, I hope all you unemployed/self employed windsurfers are having a ball with this weather.
Just spare a thought for us 9 to 5ers

PS.
Any jobs out there?

Bugger...
Good for you!
I can't remember the last 'three days straight' sail.
Where did you sail?
Monday is looking good for Avalon if it turns south westerly.

Safety Bay monday fanging inside the sand bar
Tuesday on the estuary at Novara on the easterly
Safety bay again on Wednesday going straight out on the easterly.

It's all dependant on where I am working as to where I sail.

Serously hanging for a wave sail, just haven't been in the right place at the right time, or it's just been out of my league.

Same here, the last wavesail I had was at Lancelin and that feels like a million years ago.
Never Sailed Novara. Dont know where it is even.

Do you sail Avalon much? Thats a great spot on a South Westerly.

Gearies is a bit scarey, especially the buckets north of the break.

The thing about university is, you dont have to attend anything! I mean i got up at 1pm today and can do that for another year if i wanted.

So getting out there when the wind is good isnt a problem.

Not looking forward to when i graduate and im expected to get a full-time job.

Just because you graduate from Uni doesnt mean your educated or yet to become rich? As the example we have of 18? Do a trade and you have the potential to earn more than a Uni graduate AND you leave work when ever the hell you want not like the blue collars 9 to 5

Your right there Windsurfer, some of my crew pull over 100k a year!!!! and get every third week off to hit the water. (fifo)
And the gear the buggers buy, "un-f... believeable.

Would do the same if I was still fit as them, pull spanners and just rake in Mr C Ash..

Yep, my point - uni students don't get anything (they pay thousands a year)... and when they leave, the first pay cheques are amazing! Had I had my time again, I would do a trade for sure...

The fact of the matter is Mr Uni presently has all the time in the world to go sailing.

When he leaves Uni he can jump into a trade and earn large sums of green stuff, whilst still being able to windsurf more often than 9 to 5 would give him.
Best of both worlds I reckon.

dont any of you have jobs where u can score some flexitime? or even 8 to 4... still gives u an hour after work for a sail if u got ya gear in the car, and are not too far from the beach, in summer u san sail to 7 or 8pm, so there is no reason you cant get out there during the week

Summer's not a problem filthy. Its the winter that's difficult.
I live in Singleton and can walk my kit to the beach. I've sailed there a coupla times in the evenings after work on my own but i never feel comfortable. I always prefer windsurfing with other sailors around.
I'm considering this summer trying to get to work earlier and home earlier, so I atleast get an hour in.

Ideally I want a job where i can come and go as I please. Government job maybe!
