Where I am at home looking out the window, the wind is going nuts. Hopefully some of you got a good sail in finally after a lean stretch the past few weeks. Even though I couldn't get out I'm keen to hear how it was and if any one has some photos please post them. I hope a few of you got in a good session.

Bugger Bazz! I choppered into the SW today for another 2 week stint, so no sailing for me. Had BBQ cray for dinner but! Also satellite internet is working a treat.

Hey Phoenix what time did you go past dutchies? About 15 people on the water when i first got there about 3.30pm, Lots more turned up to,

Good wind, some small waves started to build later in the arvo, good fun

the best was hit the lip/ramp dead on and the nose went dead towards the sky and my body started to rotate, and i bailed out, i go flying down, and rig goes flying towards the beach... should have held on would have been a nice bakkie

i got there at 1.00 rigged 5.3 and was still on it when it hit the 20 knottt mark than i thought i should probaly rigg smaller

Gees, don't think I've ever seen 15 people sailing at the same time. That'd be a real crowd down here.

I'll never listen to Hardie again. That's two days in a row where he's given me the call and I've been undercooked.

Anyway today I rigged the 6.0, couldn't get upwind to the break so called it quits and went home in a huff. Couple of hours later went back, rigged the 5.0 and was well powered, so much that I couldn't gybe... must learn those laydown thingies!
Swell was out of control, I caught one monster that after my cutback started rearing up and I cried and ran away like a little girl. Thought discretion was the better part of valour and so went home after half an hour with all my kit intact.

Then went speedsailing [}:)]

Wind was good

Yeh epic day........ wavesail early, got a coupla nice waverides, then speedsail later, got a PB for the NMile, though must admit my legs were a bit soft after the wavesail, just couldn't give up that swell though, still gott a bit o passion for the waves.

HELL YEAH!!! How good was that!? Im trying to think how I can word the epic session I had with Juice, Leech and Miller? Lets just say 4m sail and 3/4 mast with some mast high bombs exploding on the reef. Some of the smoothest waves Ive windsurfed! Today would have to rate in my top 3 all time sails. One wave I can remember setting up and dropping down the face what seemed to be forever to set up my bottom turn when I heard this almighty roar behind me. I turned to see the wave open up and chased me down the line wanting to devour me whole. A few waves were successful but most had countless big gouges in them by the time I kicked out in the channel
Sorry Spot1 you couldnt be there. Then again not a single kite was seen.

GOLD!

We went to rig up @ australind estuary, it was really gusty and from the south. A guy was rigging up his kite for a young girl (his daughter maybe) who was wetsuited up. One of the windsurfers politely suggest he reconsider letting her go out. He arrogantly replied he knew what he was doing and proceeded to pump up the kite till it burst! We were polite enough not to piss our pants laughing in front of the young girl. He got all huffy packed up and drove off leaving the board on the beach. We discussed putting it on e-bay for a carton of beer, but seeing as it may be his daughters its at the australind cop shop.

Yeah Lano was alright. I think I've gone gay I was having a hard time hanging on to my 5.0 the top turns were hmm challenging and I got cramps in my arms. Gay Gay Gay and ....... I prefered "hole in the wall" to "south passage" Looks like I might have to go and buy a K

Funniest thing was watching Juice punching his arms to get them to "wake up" (or maybe he was giving himself a dead arm to mask the pain ).

There's not too many people who rig 5.0 & 90-something litres for mast high/30knots. (Gestalt maybe ) Bigger guys were rigging 4.2's

Back on the shore he's telling us all how disappointed he is cos his arms have turned queer on him. LMFAO.

Juice, you're not soft: you're hardcore!

The sail I had thisafternoon craps all over yesterday from a great height... perfect 18 knots, glassy smooth areas on both sides of the estuary, did my first shortboard tack ever, followed by 11 more...

Compared to yesterday where I was overpowered, couldn't make one gybe, caught one wave that grew big slavering yellow teeth and snarled at me, making me run away whimpering as fast as my Acid could take me...

Glad you guys had a good day yesterday though Maybe one day I'll have the skill to enjoy conditions like that.

Won't be long Nebs the way you pick stuff up, Doesn't seem very long ago you invented the famous water start mantra, (a water start is just a controlled catapult), now you're tacking a short board. You just need a few more good sessions in the waves.
