My cleat on the boom clamp is chewing through rope like a starving pirahana.

chinook rope seems to last the longest, does anyone know where you can buy it off the spool in perth?????? or is there a superior rope that is tuff enuff for my boom clamp and downhaul....

Pretty sure Stuart Bell sails in Nedlands are the distributors for chinook products so they would be your best bet to get your hands on that almost indestructable rope chinook uses on its hardware.

get lightning line, i don't know who distributes in WA but its real good stuff, strong light easy on hands and doesn't wear that fast

"Veclock" from Sail Power in Nedlands is the toughest downhaul/outhaul 4-5mm rope I've come across.

it's 2 bucks a meter.
the cheap spectra stuff lasts at least a month or two with regular use.
go on buy 5 meters.
ya cheapskate.
or buy the chook stuff that gets progressively harder with each use.
both work!
