In a discussion on the Hot Sails Maui forum about using old booards for longboard wavesailing, Jeffrey Henderson said "Windsurfer was actually the closest shape to wht we are doing. If you aded about a foot of rocker, widened the board a few inches and tuned the rails for surfing an got rid of the daggerboard tht would be a sweet board for what we are doing."

Jeffrey (who is, I think, the guru) later told me that rocker had to be "At least 10 inches. That is the board laying on the pavement, the center of the bottom of the board needs to be at least 10 inches off the ground. That is for surf, for flat water paddle, you can have less. Tape over the daggerboard hole."

I took my One Design out in the surf a couple of weeks ago. First time since wooden wishbones. It was great....a lot easier than I thought in small (up to waist high) surf, in winds so light the kites had come in when I was rigging up. I got out of wavesailing a while ago since I got sick of light wind days, but I may get back into it if I can find the right spot for longboarding if the wind is too light for the small stuff.

Stick the nose of the board (upside down)between 2 treads of your front steps, put a heavy tool box on the other end and pour buckets of HOT water over where you want the bend. Once the bend is correct, support board till it cools. Simple as that. To remove the extra rocker, turn over and repeat the process. Did that for years to my old Windsurfer, depending on whether I was using it for flat-water racing or rough water sailing.
