I think making Stewie a moderator is a really good idea.

I don't think Stribo would like that.

He knows his stuff on community building. Get him busy on the moderating and he won't have time to write 3 page essays in every post (that I can't be bothered reading )

I think I'm too erratic, and have a bit of a history here not behaving the best myself, so it could look hypocritical Plus sometimnes I have heaps of time, and then I'll be lucky to have a quick coupla mins over a day just scanning topics not reading.

Hey I'm moderate.

I drink 10 std drinks a day
Since quitting smoking I have 8 nicotine lozenges per day
I have a wife and 2 girlfriends
I keep putting on weight as I can't get motivated to exercise if there is no wind
I have lots of windsurfing gear and since the wind went away for autumn I took up RC helicopters also and spent sh!tloads on a heli

With that sort of self control, why can't I be a moderator and bring others up to my level

In another topic, and via PM's folks have suggested that they personally feel a loss of community due to some antagonists.

This is unsettling to hear as that is not the spirit of this forum, and we all work hard for this to be a great place free of stress, big on enjoyment.

Let's get some solutions happening, scribble them here, name your nemesis, or PM me on what YOU would do to address any grievences you have.

Put forward suggestions on who you think would be good moderator(s)?

We can push past the finish post if we all pull together as team! This forums destiny is in our hands! We can kick another goal - we can push through the pack - it's not over till the siren rings! Our destiny is limited only by our imagination!!*

* Individual experience may vary

Although I was one who was keen for each state to have its own forum I think we lost a bit by doing so. We all followed Bubs progress with enthusiasm, but hardly see much of him any more as he sticks to the SA forum and so on.
Hope the delegation of independent forums to the level it is, has not done the site in. Think its loosing its broader community approach we had. Lozza, dont know how yo slow it up

I agree with you Mineral (by the way, hate these public computers - the ball and thebutton) , I feel the same. But then it could be cos I'm not working at a computer everyday and don't get to read all the threads anymore.

I vote USER the LUSER for moderator. The moderation then wouldn't be so biased.

Maybe my SDD diagnosis (seriousness deficit disorder) colours my thinking, but it seems to me that:

- these forums are a great place;
- plenty of people are getting help;
- plenty of people are having fun;
- new friends being made, outings planned, get togethers had.

It's entertaining!

There will always be people who's idea of fun is to stir up others, but the crew in here are far too clever for that.

When you consider it's the cusp of winter, and there is much windsurfing going on, I reckon these forums are going awesome.

Be inspired & drink in the sunshine!

Think not what the forum can do for you, but what you can do for your forum!

Enjoy .. Lozza

Hmmm. Moderator needed in kite forum, just as I suspected. Seems to be congruent with the latest 2 trolls in the windsurf forum being kitesurfers............

Lots of people refuse to even get involved on such forums....... because of the above dribble.

When you read this DRIBBLE and your FREEDOM of windsurfing / views and opinions are compromised by others with problems why bother.............

This posting is i think what the NON PARTICIPITANTS are referring too .....

Long live the FREEDOM OF SPEACH OPINIONS AND WINDSURFING not some compromised, edited ,exclusive computer surfing kite surfing windsurfing post card.

Thats for you to work out by the sounds of it

When you get an 18+ section can you let me know.
