I've noticed increasingly of late there are alot of recommendations on gear where users who are sposonsored/team riders for shops or importers have posted supporting their gear. Whilst most of it is good sometimes it may not objectively be the best choice for those asking the question.
I don't have a problem with team riders doing what they are supposed to do but some sort of notification to the innocent should be given. They should be remain objective however in recommending any gear to another sailor.
Maybe it would be possible for Laurie to add a "Team Rider" or similar notification under our usernames just so other users are aware of it, nothing further is required as it would breach advertising rules.

Yeah, I support Mk with his idea to make it known who is a 'Team Rider' or works in a store etc.
I know there are a LOT of SB users, but this especially applies to kiters; and I will be the first to say that yes, I am affiliated with a particular store/ brand, and thus one would assume some bias. I think it would be of good will for new people to the forum to realize the opinion of the general public, compared to the stores continual promotion of gear.
Lozza... You're thoughts?

I guess logistically it's down to the user to tick the box, but having been here for a long while it shows who has affiliations but newer users or those that dont live on the forums wouldn't notice.
