LAURIE, can you please move that logout tab so that it is not under the windsurfing general tab, SO many times I double tap the finger pad (windsurfing general) to find I keep logging myself out then losing all my active topics.[}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)]

Oh, if only it was so simple.
So I do tap it once and a couple of seconds later its still responding, but the page hasn't changed, so my impatient, compuslive, neurotic personality just can't wait any longer and taps it again, and WHOLAR, the page changes instantly and I have just tapped the logout tab. My world would be so much simplier if "THAT BLOODY LOGOUT BUTTON" was moved, give it to the kitsurfing general forum. PLEASE!!!!!

Start off in a smaller window. Then the logout button won't be under the menu. Maximize once you've passed the test

Jeff, if you have a relatively recent browser, use a right click, select 'open in new tab' and open the page in a new tab. That way it will come up when its ready and leaves you where you are until you select the new tab.

I would charge for this support call, but I expect a plumber charges far more, so we'll call it even.

Thanks for the green thumbs everyone, even though I never identified the fault, westozwind did

Reminds me of when my boss at the time used to reply 'it was a case of RTFM' in front of the customer when the customer would ask what the problem was...

I was going to be the person to ask what does RTFM mean.Google knows all the answers. Read The F'n Manual. Hadn't heard that one before.

Awww comon guys, while all these tips are positive and would bring the required result its still requires me having to move my finger more than 1cm. Its nearly 2010. I thought things would be getting easier.
By the way, Ive never understood why people with a laptop feel the need to put a mouse on it and turn it into a desk top, for me the purpose of a laptop is exactly that, lay back on my lounge with it on my lap and operate it with one finger right in front of me, unless I'm typing crap then its a whole 2 or 3 fingers.
AND enough of those plumbing chargeing jokes, I only made about 1300 yesterday so I had to work untill 11am today before I could play golf (no wind)

Get a bigger screen, or change your screen resolution, then it will be in a different screen location relative to the title bar, guaranteed fix.

Are you still having this problem? Is it my imagination or have the menus moved slightly?

Maybe you need to reformat your machine, install Windows 7, upgrade the RAM, and install anti-virus software? If that still doesn't work, buy a new machine as yours is obviously faulty.

I think the 'IT' joke is 'gather your machine and all its cables, place it back in the box and take it back to where you bought it from and tell them ' I am too stupid to own this '.

The logout button seems to be placed according to the length of your username. If this problem persists, you may be forced to change your username to 'wormy1234567890'... just a thought.

Sorry about the joke about plumbers charging. What do I owe you for that?

Good idea F.N. I probably wouldn't charge for that but,
If only I could change my name, the bloody members edit page won't let me change my handle.
LAURIE, Forum Admin, Internet hackers, anyone, I need a bigger name.
Can you change my name to "WORMALISITIC" . PLEASE. It may fix all my worldy problems.
