Never thought I would say this but today was OTT. Local port authority had the gusts measuring 50-60 and it never dropped under 30 knots! I have always said that it can never be too windy (just like you can never have too much money) but today was the limit! Spent most of the time doing tailwalks punctuated only by a few faceplants!

Picking up brand new sail tomorrow (7.0) so you can be guaranteed that it won't drop below 25 knots all day

Don't ask the Bendyman what he used unless you have some nice dressing's to add flavour to your sail

I went out in those conditions a few weeks back in dunsbrough when that storm hit busselton lost 1400 dollars worth of gear and my sail ......seems like the gusts were coming in in a plethora of directions. the sky was black and the rain was coming in sideays i was getting blown out to see quicker than i could get in.
What size sail you`d have to be looking at a 3.2 or some sort of small storm sail.

Sorry I couldnt reply. I was busy finishing off my pvc window and sh!tting cotton
So how the hell and where the hell did you use a 7.2m Bender? Mundaring weir?
Went to G****** first light this morning. Rigged 5m and couldnt hold onto it on the beach so I took it off my board, turned my back for a second to put my board in a safer place then turned around and my sail had literally disappeared. After 20 seconds of going WTF I saw it 50 metres down the beach. The top battern snapped but the rest was intact.
Ended up rigging the 4m and found it just right. Still a handful in the gusts.
So Nebs, what sail did you end up using today? I think I might be asking someone to pass me the salt

I bought a 4 mtr a few years ago. I've used it more in the last 2 months than the whole time i've had it. I've got a 3.4 mtr but i've never used it coz i've never thought about taking it with me! Gonna put it the van tomorrow!

Only the 6.0... couldn't quite bring myself to try the 7, despite its claimed wind range.

Glad to see so many got some this weekend
