yeah, good for some,

got there too late as the wind was backing off.

-broke my downhaul when rigging
-the aquapac then fell appart in my hands as i was sealing it,
-sailed off from the beach upwind then hits rocks in the shallows,
-something stung me walking out of the shallows
-then spent the next 20 minutes sailing sideways with constant spinout
-wind dropped off more meaning way too much downhaul and too small fin
-stacked every gybe
-called it quits and kicked the fin as i was heading back up the beach cutting my big toe down to the bone. (thanks guys for the bandaids)
- while derigging put a cam through the mast sleeve

Gestalt, take solace in the knowledge that you weren't the only one having problems today...

-broke my fin off on the 3rd run
-suffered near-hypothermia waiting in cold water while a very kind person brought me a new fin
-suffered constant spinout and was considering just turning my footstraps sideways and going with the flow
-went to Target and they didn't have the exact jeans I wanted
-still can't gybe

...but I'll be back for more!!!!!!!

hi wet willy,

seems a few had probs today. drjukka broke a boom out at the bank as well. turned it upside down and got home.

i'll be back for more tomorrow too!

fitz,

nice work. well done mate.

karma hey. you are a wise man! can't make it up the sunny coast tomorrow. will do VP again. i'll be heading up there in a fortnight hopefully. i'm keen to catch up.

Mikey100.

you cracked me up today. when i asked if you had any bandaids your suggestion of a condom was gold!

Geez,

and I thought my day ws bad !!

At least I got going!!

had one those days where I should have stayed home!!

Had to rig twice cos the mast didn't quite fit, first out, miss the gybe, hit my face. Sail for another minutes with a trail of blood from my nose!.

Stop, rest, sail back down the bank, tracking behind, but keeping up with Pierre and Vando - think I'm doing OK and then ka-boom - or should I say - no boom - sheared off clean at the masthead.

Even after turning the boom over the clew end was so stuffed I really struggled and slogged to get home.

Oh- and the doctor said I should not have been sailing!!! - Wish I had listened.

Sounds like everyone had an interesting day...

Add one more to the list of broken booms, I was just grooving along at shearwater and then SLAM was in the water... and of course it was the side I needed to get home with! Did the same as the good Dr, flipped it up the other way and sailed home.

And I forgot my aquapak so no GPS times sorry Team SEQ
