Just a quick reminder that the Waterloo Cup is being held this weekend on Sunday the 18th at Manly Harbour in QLD.
It is looking like there is going to be a big turnout with good winds predicted and a king tide of 2.6m.
There will also be some race events on the day so turn up for an enjoyable day or look into becoming a member of the WQ club and get involved in the racing.
As for the weather for this Sunday I will kick the bride out of bed at 830 to pull the curtain back so I can give you my eggspert prediction for the day.
Re the question of the life jackets. These are required as part of the duty of care responsibilities for insurance. There are a limited number of spares you can borrow from the club if you don't have one but it would be best to bring one along to ensure you get a start.
Hi Haircut, Manlys good on a SE wind. you can sail between manly and green Island about 4 km runs. You get some nice swells out towards green.I think you would enjoy it there. ta vando
ty Vando. Where are u guys sailing today? I'd like a change and was thinking of heading there today as my lesson has been cancelled. Would there likely be others sailing there today?
Yer Haircut there's always peolple sailing there. seems to be some wind around this morning. manly also has a weather station see www.weathernow.com.au/
Re: GPS times, I haven't talked to Ray about that one - it was a late decision but it may just be the best max speed on the watch forthe day (so don't reset your max speed data). Otherwise Justin said he may bring his laptop down, if that fails (plan C) we can have people send their data in as per a GPS event and give a belated prize.
Get out of bed and pull the curtain back you lazy woman.
