What is the best wave sail for looking down the line to smack the lip?

I love my Zones
A monofilm window is a must for being able to see down the line.

yep mate think westoz is on the money: has got to be anything with lotsa monofilm in it.
Think old s-1's, simmer visions, old zones, ect...
If vision is your priority, stay away from the x ply (and wipeouts / the sun cos strength will suffer)!

proper bottom turn and you will see all the way down the line.

My sails are 3 years old and thats the only way I see. Salt and scratches all over window.

I have no problem seeing through the x-ply on my ezzy waves. At least with x-ply they don't fall apart when the lip smacks you. Look at www.seabreeze.com.au/gallery/gallery.asp?imageid=2169 to see how good the vision is. It must be harder seeing through some of the tinted films. My 2 cents worth.

Interesting somebody mentioned it..I was going to post about my new washing regime (sails, not me) . I have no trouble looking around the front of the mast to see down the line but before you start your bottom turn you need to have a bit of a peep at what is going on down the line.

My sails after 2 seasons have clouded up a bit with salt, so I washed them with the hose whislt hanging up. Then they had water spots, not much better. Bugger. Now I have rinsed with hose, then used a broom and little bit of detergent in warm water to scrub them, rinsed with the hose again .... then most importantly rinsed them with rainwater while they were still wet. Took 5 min per sail, and they look 100% as new. Rainwater = no water spots. I kinda didn't realise how much the cloudy salt residue had reduced visibility!!

I find the Ezzy's easy to see through even though almost all x-ply, very well designed sail!

Bit of a rinse with fresh water, lay out over outdoor furniture and towel dry. Works a treat!

Thanks guys
Clear visibilty is always an issue when playing dogems in the Sydney Wanda beach shore break. Swimmers standing in the sand bar, surfers sitting in the line up and ramdom boogie boarders paddling out where you want to land. Smacking the lip becomes just too stressful!
cheers
