Hey Vando... were u at Wello this arvo also!?... sweet one... I got down with my 10m Cabrhina, and it was about 20+ knots at about 2.45 or 3.00pm, but it was too gusty for my 10m and had to come in... but at least I got out,a nd up a bit Were you down near the so called 'beach' end where the other kiters and I were... I saw a few other wind surfers, but all the othee kiters cam down cuz the wind was sweet for them... Zebb, Grommie, Stewart, Libby, Troy, Mark, Henrie and some others I don't know yet...

Glad you had a gr8 time out... it was pouring down when I was there... a shocker but the water wasn't that cold with a wetty on and a half-top wetty... Gr8 winds for those kiters and windsurfers that could take it that strong... I need another size kite!! 6 or 7m I'll get that about Christmas time... yahs...

Later and glad there's wind somewhere in Brissy

Elizabeth i was down there at the beach end the tide was good for a change
I have about 3 differant sail sizes but i need them for the different
wind condition kites would prob be the same.
i also have about 3 boards so it ends up pretty expensive sport.
water temp was ok if you didnt fall in too often.
its easy to spot me i have a number 11 on my sail.
well i hope for more wind soon.

Vando... I totally agree... the tide was excellent... every two weeks its a good one usually... Wow 3 diferent boards and sails... Yeah kiting is the same, but seeing I am starting off I only have the one of each! That's why I couldn't stay out there the whole time- my kite was too big - needed more like a 6m not a 10m with those gusts... Yeah water temp was pretty good, but then I did have a 1/2 long sleve wetty top, and a long legs and shoart arm full wetty on... and boots... so maybe thats why I wasn't cold It was cold once the weety ame off icy cold... and now trying to dry out the kite in the house cuz it was soaked and needs to dry...

Glad u had a good time!

You're a student right poley? How can you afford all this? I'm struggling to find enough money to get a second board/sail.

and then when you try and sell it a few years later you get nothing for it.

its called workin like a bitch for some asshole. in saying that i did a coupla years of fulltime work at good wages after school b4 i started stuying so that helped.

actually rent the big killer at the moment. only place i could aford to that could keep all my gear in, bastards.

vando i know what u mean. i can't off load half my gear, if you wanna do it you have to do new gear b4 the end of season not worth it

poley

ps the only time i can afford to drive my car is to get to the water or work

Yeah exactly Rhys... why not just stay at home... soo many less bills that's what I am doing even thought I am just 18 now... but why not stay at home for a few years ... it saves soo much more money...

I am a uni student now, but I work every other day I am not at uni(minus sat and sun), and then also work during the holidays doing the same job I love where I work, and it's heaps of fun! Which means I can save all my money to get my kite and baord... and all the things I need... I own all my kite gear from board to wetsuit... which was about $5000 for it all... so I am happy with that...Go back and live at home 4 a little while... its so much easier...

My next thing - Liquid Force Kiteboard and Wakeboard looks really good about $900 each .... so soonish lol...

mmm Working fulltime after school could have helped.
I only have enough time, between all my uni crap to work one day a week which gets me through a week with a little left over. Oh well holidays coming up, should be able to get some more work.

Hopefully a sail on friday too :)

yeah... same here.. I didn't have enough time while at school to work, but I seem to have heaps of space time off now since I've started uni. I go to uni 3 days per week, now it will be 2 days cuz I got my timetable in 2 days just 3 years and 1.2 until I have finished it arghhh seems so long... luckily its gone fast hey.... but I like working in between - gives me something to do rather the uni work all the time - It's a time out...

i dream of a place,
where people will not be discriminated for the hair,
where wind will be plentiful,
and windsurfers and kiters can get along in harmony,
where beautiful women are allowed to walk around naked...

why is the world so cruel to not let such simple dreams come true

poley.
