Hey laurie,

If you would stop sticking up those nice green arrows just to get me excited, then swap them for yellow and red ones.
I might just get a chance to fulfill the need.

I would like to order some green ones for this weekend please, the ones that say 25kts SSW would do just fine.

I can hear those KA Koncepts rustling with anticipation in their bags.

If you can't find the 25kt ones then 30kts will be OK i guess.

That doesn't count, he was doing a double cheese roll onto his back.... not a proper double forward. Top points to him for being first.

Anyways was just stirring, I have no idea what I could do. Think WWA should organise a speed event where everyone tries the same gear at the WA channel (peel) and see who is fastest as a percentage of the wind speed average at the time of their run.
I'd be in that one....

sounds a bit mathematical.

Still, I suppose you WA guys have plenty of time to sit around with calculators.

maybe we just need a long course, 2 buoys, and set every one out at once for 10 laps. Just a formalised form of what us blasters do anyway.

Mark,

If your interested, when there are no waves I could chuck my gps on you for a blast.

Please be warned!!!
They are ***ken addictive as you can then see know exactly what speeds you have done so then you end up forever trying to better it.

It's also good for realy learning how to fine tune gear and technique.

Elmo,
you should know how easy carve gybes are at 30+kts.

I'm talking long straights here, so catching up after the obligitory racing Tack/jump off/waterstart type turn will be ok.

I figure if you get to the first turn fist (holeshot) then this technique will cause enough mayhem behind to keep you in the lead for the next turn.

I'm also thinking a pace boat start would be more spectacular.

Maybe we should design the course to fit in with that other very valuable turning technique used by the Lake dwellers.

Just place the turn markers at a point 3metres in from the bank.

Then the bank start turn technique will be competitive.

This is the more complex version of the Splatt Gybe, which also involves having to wash of all the dirt of and extract the local folage from the various body orifices after a high speed introduction to the shore line

I've only just realized that you can turn these things around without having to bob around in the water
