After 23 years of operation Windforce Watersports (Previously Pelican Point Windsports) is closing down.

The owners, past and present, have always been passionate about our sports but unfortunately at times the numbers have to get priority over the passion. It is unfortunate that we haven't an option to continue trading at our present location and this has played a big part in our decision.

We are extremely disappointed that this has to be the case, and would like to thank all of our customers for their support over the years.

We will be having a "All stock must go" Closing Down Car Park Sale on April the 1st, so make sure you come along and get the best deals ever on Windsurf, Kite and SUP.All stock will be heavily discounted with many items below cost, so you would be crazy to miss out!

Our school and rental at JH Abraham Reserve on the Swan River, and our other shop Airborne Kitesurfing / Stand Up Paddle Sports in Osborne Park will continue to operate as normal and we look forward to assisting you in the future.

Please let us know if you are coming on F.B.

Windforce is/was a HUGE supporter of WWA.

We owe a huge debt to Stephen. He was the driving force behind Wednesday Night Slalom which was a major factor in WWA growing into the association it is today. Hopefully the bright side of this sad news is that we will see more of Stephen on the water enjoying his passion in life.

Very sad news Stephen. I feel like a part of my life is about to disappear.
It will be a sad thing not to have a Starboard distributor in Perth, but a real tragedy that your encylopaedic knowledge of equipment gained over so many years in the business may be lost to us. Not to mention all the spare parts and odds and ends.
Wishing you all the best for your next endeavour, whatever that may be.

Plus Revolution, and G-spot as an online store. We're doing OK for choice still...

But yeah shame to see any shop close :(

That's seriously disappointing . Great advice, quality gear, thoughtful pricing, and just really genuine support to sailors no matter their level. Appreciate all your help Stephen. If it means time on the water for you, then it's not all bad!

Big loss to our sport especially if you live north of the river.

Not just the shop but the awesome racing put on by Windforce on Wednesday afternoons.

Hopefully Steve will somehow find the time to keep running it. Really missed it this year.

Sad to hear the news Stephen. You've provided a great service to this awesome sport and wish you well in your next venture. I look forward to supporting you at the "carpark" sale.

Sad to see this.

As many have already said, your knowledge and services at windforce have led many people into windsurfing (including me)

Wish you all the best for whatever your next endeavour in life is. Hoping to catch you out on the water a bit more Steve.

See you at the carpark sale.

if Severne had not have opened up its own retail store(getting the wholesale and retail of there own products), would Windforce have been put in this situation. you would have thought that severne sails would have been a big part of there turn over.

Very sad news. I always enjoyed popping in to the shop and having a chin wag. Great advice always. Thanks for all the tips Stephen and good luck in your next chapter.

This comment is not a personal attack but popping in for a chin wag and advise unfortunately doesn't keep a shop open.

Bloody sad. Steve and Windforce has been my go to shop since opening because of the gear, advice and easy vibe. Steve has also been a great supporter of WWA and windsurfing generally. The lack of a Windforce behind some of these events will be sorely missed I reckon, not to mention the big hole on Stirling Highway it will leave. Damn it my kids grew up there ! Hope it all works out for your next step Stevie. Hopefully you'll have more flexibility in the future for our up north trips !

Windforce will be closed this Friday due to preparations for the huge "Closing Down Sale" on Saturday.

Many people have asked about what is going to be at the sale and for how much, we are still sorting our prices and getting stock from our warehouse.

So unfortunately the only way to find out is to turn up on Saturday.

- We are going to have a HUGE range of Windsurfing, biggest Windsurf carpark sale ever.
- How about New Starboard Windsurf boards from $299?
- Big range of new and second hand Severne Sails.
- Over 20 boards and rigs from our Windsurf School.
- Great range of kiting gear from Slingshot and Airush.
- SUP Gear from Starboard, Naish and ??
- DVDs, fins, paddles, harness lines, key locks, wetsuits, board bags, and much, much more.

++++ ALL STOCK MUST GO++++

Trust us, you won't be disappointed!

See you there!

Only 8 days to get a bargain, then Windforce will be closed.

We have just dug out all of our windsurf fins and and dropped the prices lower than you will see again.

Windsurf boards prices have also dropped again.

New Severne sails are almost gone, but some great second hand bargains.

Check out all the masts, booms extensions, harneses etc.
