Check this out:

If you read further down, there is info on how to send in a protest message.

Doesn't seem right sailing around on a sunny day on gear made by exploited workers.
No more Norths for me.
Sad reality is that many of the other companies may be guilty of the same kind of thing...

Pretty much all sails and boards are Chinese/Thai made but I think Pryde are the only company which is based in China (Hong Kong) and even they do design in the States. It is pretty difficult to work out the "nationality" of the larger windsurf kit manufacturers. No longer are Tushingham sails made in UK, Gaastra in Holland etc...
It seems that Cleanclothes has a beef with most major sporting eqipment/apparel companies, specificall targeting Adidas, Benneton, C & A, Disney, Phillips-Van Heusen, Gap, H & M, Levi-Strauss, Nike, Otto etc...
Do you have any of these garments, if so you had all better get to gether for a ritual burning to show your support.
It would seem that the Cleanclothes mob are tied up in the anti-World Trade Organisations propoganda machine as well.
The internet is a wonderful place to voice annonymous views without the need for proper reasearch.
Removing the best of a series of bad options, they say, does nothing to better the plight of the world’s poor.
To provide a view of the other side of the coin please check out www.aworldconnected.org/article.php/525.html
A few more words than cleanclothes but a balanced argument can create informed discussion.
If you wish all your kit to double in price then keep the pressure on to wipe out these companies and do thousands of people totally out of a job.

Thanks for sharing this info with us.

Part of the request against North was for Boards & More to take their responsibility to resolve the dispute,
so that the 207 workers become reinstated which seems to go in the right direction from my point of view.
I am aware that most of the gears are made in South-east Asia , China...etc.. and obviously understand the reasons
behind it but after researching on the web no other Windsurf brands are cited for this kind of issues. If there are let me know.
So either there are no problem with other sailmakers (Pryde, Gaastra, Naish etc..) or MR Cleanclothes is pretty slack in finding
new companies to protest against....
Would it be naive to assume that workers are better treated in other sailmakers factories??? maybe.... maybe not....
So North just has to line up and give those people some work back...simple!!!
