Howdy all, its nearly time for me to say goodbye to sunny sydney and head upto my new home in Bris vegas. Along the way im planning on sailing much as possible in new places so im looking for suggestions. Pretty much looking for flat ish water but after my recent shin dig to Gerroa im hungry for another gentle wave session. Anyway id appreciate any suggetions and route ideas

South West Rocks is a definite must! If you are camping / vanning, then I recommend staying at Arakoon Reserve (right under the old gaol). The scenery is spectacular, and the wind is decent too. From October onwards it gets a good NE seabreeze which blows cross on. When you sail from the Gaol, there is a breakwall that offers a protected launch area, but you do get some nice little waves when there is swell about. Best part of all, is kicking back at the end of a day's sailing with a beer in hand watching the sun set over the bay, something pretty hard to come by on the East Coast.

flat rock at wooli woolgoolga has some fun waves which are fairly gentle, at least they were when i was last there.

and whiting beach at yamba is my favourite flat water spot, nothing beats it in a NEer.
